wow....
that might have been the worst possible guy to promote. of all possible people, we promote the Fresno Grizzlies hitting coach??
way to influx some new ideas and strategies guys...promote the guy who taught half the team how to hit in AAA up to the majors to teach them the same crap that wasnt helping in the first place.
when will the Giants get out of this rut of making the lamest possible moves? signing mediocre players, hiring mediocre coaches, playing mediocre baseball.
heres a good way to get the bats going, spend some money on real bats! not Michael Tucker type bats, Matt Holliday type bats.
once again the giants are 100 miles off course bumbling with their hitting coaches instead of actually signing some players who CAN hit.

For some reason, carney was not getting through with the guys, and Meulens showed he made progress with velez & bowker. I think a better move would have been, if we gotten rid of bochy instead. And yes, the bonus that he speaks like 55 different languages, should help.
