The AL wasn't the place for him but he hit 25 bombs for the Marlins the year before. Would our defensive minded club take a chance on his poor glove and .260 avegrage? They brought in Josh Phelps to spring last year. I say this could be a better gamble. What's he worth 1 mil for 1 year? or whatever we decide NOT to pay Garko in arbitration.

Heck he hit 19 HRs this year too. I don't see how taking a flyer on him could hurt.
