Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Mariners have placed first baseman Ryan Garko on waivers. The Mariners have opted to keep 37-year-old Mike Sweeney over Garko, who was signed to a one-year, $550,000 contract in February. That 3 teams in 6 months now that scrapped him.

I called him a journeyman when he first came over when I confused him with Ross Gload.

Seems he is after all.

Some team will pick him up but I doubt they'll treasure him
