Last I heard was that he was having problems with his back in addition to his shoulder issues.

Who cares.... I don't wanna wait to see if he's going to get back to normal form. Theriot's hitting like .315 in the past 30 days... If he can keep that up I'm happy.

This. I think he was almost ready and then hurt his back. Freddy's one of my favorite ball players but he does seem injury prone.

you know what really p****s me off is that we probably wont sign him next year and he'll sign somewhere else for like 3 mill a year and tear it up.

Yeah. They said that this is probably the end of him in a Giants uniform.

Too bad about Freddie. Back Surgery and he doesn't seem to heal quickly or well. He could recover and be ready next year but I doubt the Giants offer him a major league contract. Probably offer him only a minor league deal dependent upon his being able to play. At 35, I think he is done for good.
