I said it once and I didn't restate it when I argued again about Colletti, which apparently means I lost in the subject of Logan White. I know when to admit defeat. People wanted Colletti fired. Not anymore, but he was in deep danger. After he got Manny and Blake, everyone loved him again, however that does not mean you can overlook Colletti's iffy decisions concerning Pierre, Jones, and Schmidt. You cannot forget...baseball is a "What have you done for me lately" sport.

The articles and internet forums that you show are not recent obviously and were made before the Dodgers became the best team in the NL and Colleti made the trades to get Manny and Blake. I can understand why articles from 2 years ago were calling for him to get fired. He made terrible decisions.

I am hardly here to defend Colleti and that was not the point of my original post. You were the one that even brought his name up tp begin with. I simply said that Logan White is a great baseball man who was the person responsible for the success of the farm system of the Dodgers. I made the point that he would be a terrfic replacement for Sabean who I think should be replaced. Logan White is not Brian Sabean or Ned Coletti. He is a successful baseball man who deserves a shot to the GM. So does John Barr who was the other name that I mentioned. Ned Colleti should never have even come up in this discussion.

I am going to keep this simple and srtraight forward.

I never said they were recent. I was just saying he made terrible decisions. After you informed me that Logan White was there before Colletti, I didn't say a word. The reason why I kept arguing is because you said you live in the LA Area and there hasn't been any talk about Colletti being fired..well there was. I said he caught heat, I didn't say catching, thus it's past tense. That's what I was arguing about. Anyways we can agree that Sabean has to go and Barr...and now White should be considered as replacements.

Still want to know what were paying and if they intend to keep/extend for lower dollar per.

Lets see what type of numbers are involved before totally dissing the move which may be a type of salary dump in reverse.

Is this the fire sabean bandwagon, i'm officially on after the Freedy Sanchez trade. That was the last straw for me. Seriously we couldn't get somebody better than Sanchez for alderson. He's barely better than Uribe and we still have no clean up hitter

this is me.

i am only 24 and did not care to watch sports, let alone baseball, i would rather have been outside playing it, and just remember being happy we traded for a .300 hitter at a position where it is hard to find in the AJ pierzinsky(?) deal. but now looking back(though it is hindsight) i just shake my head.


just thinking what the marlins, twins, A's, or other small market team's GM could do here.

I am going against what I had said before I am going to say we resign Brian Sabean. Ok hear me out before you judge me He is responsible for the team we have out there right now ( who isnt happy ) Our farm system is stacked I mean stacked probably the best in baseball . The Zito signing was Larry Baer decision Brian had to owners decision so we will cut him some slack. He has built a team around great pitching that will be feared for a long time. Lincecum , Cain , Zito, Bumgarner, Sanchez. Our future is as bright as ever hats off to you Sabean ...Cant believe Im giving him props.

Sabean has failed in my opinion on the trade front and in his free agent signings. Affedlt was a good sign but we can go back and list the multitude of overpriced and underperforming players that Sabean signed. He has put this team together and has failed to draft and develop young hitters in this organization. HE MUST GO! His drafts have improved however much of that credit has to go to John Barr and it certainly is easier when you have a top 10 spot to draft from.

My fear is that Sabean is going to try to save his job by trading for an established hitter at the expense of a top prospect. I am glad that Neukom is in charge because I dont think that he will allow that to happen but it still scares me. I have never trusted Sabean and certainly do not now.

The Giants would be smart to bring in a new GM and a new manager for next year. I do NOT blame Bochy and actually think he has done a good job given the lack of talent he has to work with. Having said that, I think a change is needed to give the team a new fresh start.

This has aged......so very badly.
