Romo not "closer material"?

I keep hearing talk on the MLB network about Sergio Romo not being "closer material." I guess it's because he doesn't throw 98 mph.

I just have to disagree here; he can (and does) get outs without throwing 98 mph. After all, getting outs in the final inning is what is most important for a closer, and Romo has done that since he has assumed closer responsibility for the Giants. He did a good job at the end of the regular season last year and through the NL playoffs and WS.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
It doesn't really matter what anyone says as long as he keeps doing what he is doing. Sometimes I think people are more obsessed with how a player looks rather than how he has performed.
6 for 6 so far in save opportunities
I think he is. I still miss Brian Wilson but Romo hasn't done anything to make me think he isn't the right guy for the job.
He's the right man, at the right time, in the right place.
