Official Dodgers at Giants series thread - starts 4/15/14

Tuesday, April 15 - Dodgers - 7:15 PM - Lincecum vs Beckett
Wednesday, April 16 - Dodgers - 7:15 PM - Vogelsong vs Maholm
Thursday, April 17 - Dodgers - 12:45 PM - Bumgarner vs Ryu

Big series coming up for first place. We took the last series and now we have them at home.

Expectations go out the window for this series given our pitching rotation.... This is not the lineup you roll struggling pitchers out against.... Same old story.... Lincecum can't walk people.... and he has to keep his stuff down in the strike zone.... Show enough of a fastball to make the off speed effective.... and he might have a fighting chance.... He can't give up the big first inning.... which is demoralizing to everybody.... Fans included....

The positive is having Beckett on the mound.... Everybody owns him.... Including our very own San Jose Giants.... This guy hasn't won a game since 2012.... He reeks.... Giants have a chance to steal one here.... Play loose tomorrow.... and try to win the series with Bum on Thursday....

Great win last night. Way to go Sanchez. Three of four so far.

So everyone assumes that the Dodgers will run away with the division. There is no doubt that they are loaded with talent. But what about us? Here we are tied for first and we have taken 4 of 6 from the Dodgers. It may not always be pretty or flashy, but we are winning games.

Keeping pace early is the key.... The Dodgers bats are going to heat up.... Lincecum and Voglesong have to be solid for this team to compete.... Nice series win.... Now don't go to SD and choke the series....
