When the Giants officially announced Tony Vitello as their new manager, San Francisco’s star pitcher Logan Webb was one of the first players to openly express his excitement for the clubhouse’s new leader.Recalling his first encounter with the former Tennessee baseball coach, Webb told NBC Sports Bay Area’s Bonta Hill and Alex Pavlovic about the first time he physically met up with Vitello after the announcement.“He called me one day,” Webb said. “I sent him a text and I said, ‘Welcome to the Giants.
