SAN FRANCISCO — One of the worst road trips in franchise history will lead to a big shakeup for the Giants’ lineup. The Giants are calling up top prospect Bryce Eldridge and catcher Jesús Rodríguez, a source confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area. Both will be at Oracle Park on Monday as San Francisco looks to get back on track after going 0-6 on their road trip through Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, scoring just nine total runs. The news was first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.Eldridge, 21, has a .963 OPS in Triple-A with five homers, including two in a massive performance earlier this week. He has 41 strikeouts in 114 at-bats, and the Giants hoped to let him work on that issue a bit more. However, their lineup is desperate for power, and Eldridge also has been walking at a solid rate. The Giants currently are last in the big leagues in home runs and walks, and they didn’t go deep on their six-game trip.
