To put Schmitt’s number in perspective, the San Francisco hitter with the highest wRC+ last season was Rafael Devers, who posted a 126 mark in just 90 games with the Giants after a June trade from the Boston Red Sox. In 192 plate appearanced this season, Schmitt is batting .298/.339/.567 with a team-leading 12 home runs and 31 RBI.
