Hector Borg’s time as the Giants’ third base coach is over.The Giants announced five hours before first pitch against the Rockies in Colorado that Borg has been reassigned within the organization’s player development staff.Veteran coach Ron Wotus will assume the interim third-base coaching duties while the Giants decide on a permanent replacement for Borg.The move comes after a tough start to the season for the Giants that has seen countless baserunning blunders, many of which can be attributed to Borg.The most recent example came against the Arizona Diamondbacks earlier this week when Willy Adames was thrown out at home after Borg waved him following a base hit by Luis Arraez.Replays showed Adames was barely at third base when the Diamondbacks outfielder Ryan Waldschmidt fielded and threw the ball toward home.The Giants went on to lose 3-2 to the Diamondbacks.Tony Vitello was asked Thursday on KNBR’s “Murph and Markus” show about whether he planned to make a change with his third base coach, and the first-year Giants manager danced around the topic.“Uhm, I’m just trying to consider how I’m going to wake up this morning, to be...
