Giants manager Tony Vitello addressed the media Friday for the first time since the team reassigned third base coach Hector Borg following a string of questionable decisions to start the 2026 MLB season.Speaking before the opener of a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies, Vitello acknowledged the difficulty of the decision but also reaffirmed its necessity.“It’s always, first things first, tough on a personal level with anybody,” Vitello told reporters. “You guys know it, I don’t have to say it, at least [to] those that are familiar with [Borg].
