Bryce Eldridge no longer is the Giants’ top prospect. Nor is he the organization’s second-best prospect. At least according to ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel. The MLB prospect expert released his updated rankings of each organization’s 10 best prospects, and Giants fans might be surprised to know Eldridge, who has been San Francisco’s consensus top prospect for two years, slipped to third on McDaniel’s list. Gonzalez, whom the Giants signed as the top international position player prospect last year, got off to a scorching hot start this season in rookie ball, batting .421/.551/.658 with one home run, 11 RBI and four stolen bases in 13 games.Level, another international free agent San Francisco signed in January 2024, is crushing Single-A pitching this season, batting .325/.392/.576 with 10 home runs, 47 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 44 games with the San Jose Giants.Those two infielders and Eldridge, who had his first four-hit game in Sunday’s blowout win over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, round out the Giants’ top-three prospects.
