The decisions by some Giants pitchers during the team’s “Pride Night” at Oracle Park did not sit well with broadcaster Mike Krukow. Starting pitcher Landen Roupp and relief pitchers JT Brubaker, Ryan Walker and Sam Hentges made waves over the weekend for their decisions during Friday’s game against the Chicago Cubs to either alter the team’s special edition Pride hat with Bible verses or not wear the hat altogether.Krukow spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Ann Killion for a recently published column about the controversy surrounding the pitchers and offered his view on the situation. “I think that you have the right as a player to believe and say whatever you want,” Krukow told the Chronicle. “But you have to take a broader look at the city you’re playing in.
