SAN FRANCISCO — When talking about Rafael Devers’ most controversial moment since coming over from the Red Sox, Giants manager Tony Vitello couldn’t help but think of Boston. “If he came over to my condo and said, ‘I need your help, you can’t ask about it, we’re going to do some damage,’ all I’d say is, ‘Whose car are we going to take?'” Vitello said Tuesday, referencing “The Town.”For all that was made of Devers’ perceived insubordination on Sunday, Vitello said he did not feel disrespected when the first baseman objected to being pinch-run for in the ninth.
