A rough night for the Giants in Arizona could get even worse tomorrow depending on the severity of Matt Chapman’s injury that forced him to exit the game on Tuesday.Giants manager Tony Vitello told reporters following an 8-2 defeat to the Diamondbacks at Chase Field that the Gold Glove third baseman exited in the seventh inning due to an “abdominal strain” suffered while making a play on a Gabriel Moreno grounder.

“He’ll have to get it looked at a little bit more professionally,” Vitello said. “Something that had been building up over time. Went away, came back and then, on the slow roller, just a sharp pain there.
