After losing the first two games of the series and scoring a combined six runs, the Giants’ offense came alive on Wednesday. They were able to pull off a 6-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field, but it wasn’t always pretty.
Their offensive explosion at the plate didn’t come until the fifth inning. Before they started rattling off hits and knocking in runs, starting pitcher Trevor McDonald held down the fort in a big way. He tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out five hitters.
