While the Giants’ offense has been up and down over the course of the 2026 MLB season, All-Star second baseman Luis Arraez has remained a steady presence at the dish.San Francisco was 39-54 on the year entering Friday’s matchup with the Colorado Rockies, but that hasn’t made Arraez to want to play anywhere else – at least that’s what he recently told The SF Standard’s John Shea.
And when asked if the 29-year-old would like a contract extension with the team that signed him to a one-year deal in February, he had a simple response.
“Yes, why not?” Arraez told Shea. “Especially because this organization gave me a big opportunity to improve my defense. I would love to come back here. We’re still in the season, and I don’t think about that right now. But in the future, let’s see what happens. I’m open to listen to whatever they want to say to me.”
