BOX SCORESAN FRANCISCO – For a team that spent much of the past two weeks trying to silence the outside noise, the Giants can head into the All-Star break feeling much better and ready for some rest.

After stranding eight runners through seven innings Sunday at Oracle Park, the Giants got to Colorado’s bullpen for two runs in the eighth, then held on for a 3-1 victory in their final game before the Midsummer Classic.

Rafael Devers scored the go-ahead run with some alert base-running. He walked leading off the eighth, took third on Bryce Eldridge’s single, then scored when Colorado’s All-Star catcher, Hunter Goodman, sailed a throw into center field as he tried to catch pinch-runner Grant McCray attempting to steal second base.
