“I understand that sentiment from Giants fans, and I think he’s been such a positive person and teammate in the clubhouse that we wouldn’t be prudent if we didn’t at least consider the option of extending him or bringing him back,” Posey said. “But unfortunately we are not playing the type of baseball that we need to play right now, so we’ve got to keep all options on the table.”
