SAN FRANCISCO — It’s a busy time of year for the Giants front office, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if some of them try and pull a doubleheader this weekend.The Giants have a pair of day games at Oracle Park, and the Low-A San Jose Giants play at night on Saturday and Sunday. When it comes to two of the organization’s top prospects, team officials are no different than fans: They’re eager to see Josuar Gonzalez and Luis Hernández.
The teenagers officially were promoted from the Arizona Complex League to San Jose on Friday, and it won’t be long before they’re in San Jose’s lineup together. The promotions came after both tore up the ACL.
“They’re two very exciting players,” general manager Zack Minasian said on NBC Sports Bay Area’s pregame show on Friday. “Very different styles of play, but both super talented and we’re really excited about them.
