Henry Lalane traveled from Hudson Valley, N.Y., to Eugene, Ore., this week, and the Giants’ new left-handed pitching prospect didn’t miss a beat.In his organizational debut on Thursday, Lalane allowed five hits and three runs (one earned) while striking out five Spokane Indians batters in 4 2/3 innings for the Eugene Emeralds, the Giants’ High-A affiliate in the Northwest League. New look in High-A @EugeneEmeralds threads, same Henry Lalane.

— MLB Pipeline (@MLBPipeline) August 7, 2026 The Emeralds’ play-by-play broadcaster Jacob Archer provided a scouting report on the Giants’ No. 9 overall prospect. An extra note –
His fastball was sitting between 93-95 mph but the velo wasn’t dropping as he pitched deeper into the game.
His changeup is one of his higher graded pitches and for good reason. A lot of swings and misses on that pitch as it lived up to the scouting reports.
