There isn’t much positive to take away from the Giants’ 2026 MLB season, but a bright spot remains in the youth.The MLB Pipeline farm system rankings have San Francisco slotted fifth among the league’s 30 teams.
“Since we started rating systems in 2015, the Giants’ previous high point was No. 8 in mid-2021,” Sam Dykstra, Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo wrote. Their 14-spot jump from our previous rankings is one shy of the best ever, and no organization has made as dramatic a move in so short a time as San Francisco improving from No. 28 in the 2025 preseason to No. 5 now.”
