Red Sox fans booed Devers before his first at-bat in the first inning, but then gave him an ovation when a tribute video was played on the videoboard before the second inning.

Devers spent the first eight and a half seasons with the Red Sox, helping them win one of their four World Series titles this century.

But his relationship with the organization soured before the 2025 season, and last June, Boston stunningly shipped him to San Francisco.

In a ballpark where he hit 95 homers during his Red Sox tenure, Devers notched his first as a visitor.
