It has been a tough season for the Giants. For the players on the field and the executives in the front office.And that includes president of baseball operations Buster Posey.
The player-turned-executive joined the San Francisco Standard’s Tim Kawakami on the latest episode of “The TK Show,” where he was asked if it has been difficult to receive criticism in his new role as the team has struggled mightily throughout the 2026 MLB season.
“I knew coming into it that there’s a possibility of if it didn’t go well I was definitely opening myself up to that, and I was okay with that,” Posey told Kawakami. “I think I’m smart enough to know that was a possibility and if I wasn’t willing to expose myself to that, I guess I wouldn’t have done it. It is part of it.
“Has it been tough? I mean, I don’t think there’s many humans out there that want to be criticized, but again, you understand it’s part of it, it’s the business of production and I’m pretty good about not reading comments. Pretty good, not perfect. I do read some. But for the most part, I try...
