The San Francisco Giants have agreed to a minor league contract with reliever Marc Kroon and invited him to spring training. The 37-year-old Kroon pitched the last three seasons as a closer for the Yomiuri Giants and spent six total years in Japan. Yomiuri released the right-hander after the 2010 season, when Kroon had 25 saves and a 4.26 ERA in 52 appearances.
