San Francisco Giants’ Tim Lincecum still looking to measure up

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Tim Lincecum has spent his entire lifehearing doubts about his size. He understands he never will fullysilence them. No wonder he learned to treat it like whitenoise. But during his worst stretches last summer, the doubts turned tohis preparation and dedication. And that's a buzz he will notignore. "I don't ever want to go through that again, whether it's peopledoubting my workouts or my work ethic," said Lincecum, in asoul-baring interview Tuesday. "I want to come in ready to pitch ata high level and not make any excuses."
