The retirement of Garret Anderson on March 1 has lead to some interesting debate in chat rooms and among MLB writers as Anderson's place in Angels history is debated. As an Angels fan and 30 year former resident of Anaheim, I was on the fence regarding Anderson until the 2002 World Series victory over the San Francisco Giants. Many remember the monstrous home run Barry Bonds hit in that World Series with the Angels players in the background looking on in amazement.
