Matt Cain pitched three hitless innings in his first appearance since San Francisco's spring opener, but the Milwaukee Brewers rallied for six runs off Jeff Suppan to beat the Giants 12-8 on Monday. Cain had not pitched in game since Feb. 27 due to inflammation in his right elbow. He gave up three hits and struck out one.
