Being born and raised in south St. Louis, I have always been a St. Louis Cardinals fan. The game that left the biggest impression on me happened on June 2, 1963. I was 14 years old at the time. My best friend Dave James and his father asked me to go see the San Francisco Giants and Willie Mays. We got tickets to the center-field bleachers. The cost then was $2 a seat. Bleacher tickets today go between $15 and $31. Tickets cost more for special events and weekends.
