Matt Cain remained his placid self throughout six shutoutinnings against the Dodgers on Saturday. He confirmedwhat everyone saw in October, when he joined the pitching elite bynot allowing an earned run during the Giants' entire postseason runto the world championship. In his first start of 2011, that streakgrew to 27 1/3 innings, and Cain showed real emotion just once. He drew a walk from Dodgers reliever Kenley Jansen inthe sixth and broke from the batter's box like a sprinter, eagerlychucking his bat toward the dugout.
