A decision on whether to place Andres Torres on the disabledlist was delayed another day after the outfielder continued to showimprovement from the left Achilles tendon strain he sufferedSaturday night. "I like the progress he's made, which is basically where it'sat," said Giants manager Bruce Bochy. "So ifhe comes in (Wednesday) and continues to show this kind ofimprovement, he'll take batting practice. Then, with a day off(Thursday), he could be ready to play as soon as this weekend." Torres is out of his walking boot and wasn't limping Tuesdaynight as he made his way around the clubhouse. He wasn't sure justwhen he'd be ready to resume running or playing but was encouragedby the way things have been going in his recovery.
