It took an uncomfortably long while, but the Giants returned home and unpackedthe heavy baggage of a fitful road trip Friday night with astirring 4-3 comeback, walk-off victory over the ColoradoRockies. When the Rockies struck for three early runs against Matt Cainand Giants hitters let struggling andwinless starter Ubaldo Jimenez off the hook several times, thingsdidn't look promising for the opener of a three-game series againstthe National League West front-runners. But the Giants chipped away with a run inthe sixth, tied the game in the eighth on a two-out, two-run doubleby Nate Schierholtz, then won it in the ninth on a rally ignited bylast year's postseason poster boy, Cody Ross.
