The Cubs finally caught a break fromspring weather that has been the worst in recent memory aroundthese parts. Sunday?s rainout meant they did not have to face Giants ace TimLincecum at Wrigley Field. On this homestand, the Cubs began a critical and difficultpart of their schedule, and they came up short, dropping two ofthree each to the Reds and Cardinals and splitting two against thedefending-champion Giants. Things don?t get any easier for the 17-21 Cubs . They head to Cincinnati fortwo beginning Monday, followed by two at Florida and three atBoston. Games were there for the taking against the Reds and Cards, and the Cubs didn?t take them. Good teamstake them.
