SAN FRANCISCO - If the Twins are baseball's best teamturnaround story line right now, San Francisco starter RyanVogelsong is perhaps the game's best individual rebirth thisyear. The 33-year-old right-hander - a journeyman of fourorganizations and two continents (he played for two Japanese clubs)- entered Wednesday night's game 4-1 with a 1.92 earned-runaverage. That's a stark shift from his career big league results, which, before Wednesday, were 14-23 with 5.18 ERA. Of Vogelsong's 44 big league starts since he broke into themajors back in 2000, 11 have come this season, and Wednesday nightthe Twins had little more successagainst Vogelsong in his 11th start than any team did in theprevious 10.
