Home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt has left the game between the Cleveland Indians and San Francisco Giants after being hit in the mask by a foul ball. Crew chief Jerry Layne moved from second base to behind the plate after Wendelstedt left the game in the middle of the second inning. The game resumed after a brief delay with three umpires.
