Bumgarner shuts down Rockies

SAN FRANCISCO Madison Bumgarner and two relievers combinedon a three-hitter, Brandon Belt homered into McCovey Cove and the San Francisco Giants beat the Colorado Rockies 7-0on Tuesday night. Conor Gillaspie, making a rare start at third base in place ofPablo Sandoval, hit an inside-the-park home run in the seventhwhile Brandon Crawford added two hits and an RBI for the Giants , who have won two straightfollowing a four-game losing streak. That's little consolation for the defending World Series champs,who will still miss the postseason a year after claiming theirfirst title in 54 years.
