KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Royals traded outfielder Melky Cabrera to the San Francisco Giants for left-hander Jonathan Sanchez on Wednesday, upgrading their starting rotation and clearing the way for hotshot prospect Lorenzo Cain to get a chance in center field.
