The Giants took a huge step backward from their World Series title. Old age and hitting deficiencies caught up with them, and their anemic offense wasted a bunch of pitching gems. Burrell said he likely will retire. DeRosa and Cabrera have nearly zero chance of returning. The only way Ross returns is by taking a huge cut from his $6.3 million salary.
