Robust deal for Sandoval - Lincecum now on deck;GIANTS

In a statement of faith that seemed so unlikely 14 months ago,the Giants agreed Tuesday to athree-year, $17.15 million contract with third baseman PabloSandoval that rewards not only his production on the field, but hisdedication in the training room. After the World Series ended in November 2010, the Giants threatened a badly overweightSandoval with a demotion to the minors the following year if he didnot get into shape.
