You didn't think the Giants would just hand the everydayshortstop job to Brandon Crawford, did you? Even Crawford had to think the Giants were looking for veteranalternatives to give him competition this spring. The club foundone on Friday, agreeing to a non-guaranteed major league contractwith former Cub and Cardinal (and LSU Tiger) Ryan Theriot.
