Jeff Francis scattered three hits across seven strong innings and the Cincinnati Reds routed the San Francisco Giants 10-2 on Saturday. Francis, bidding for a spot in the Reds' bullpen, gave up a one-out infield single to Melky Cabrera in the first and then retired 15 straight hitters before hitting Brett Pill with a pitch with two outs in the sixth.
