--RHP Ryan Vogelsong debuted Sunday with a loss, but he had winnable stuff for the most part. He lasted 6 2/3 innings and gave up two runs (one earned), though he wasn't pleased, calling his outing "a battle. I was inconsistent. I was just fighting myself all day. It was frustrating trying to find a rhythm." In one stretch, Vogelsong retired 12 straight batters. The Giants, for the first time this year, didn't score at least four runs and were hitless with runners in scoring position.--3B Pablo Sandoval made four errors in the first nine games after making 10 errors in 106 games last year. He did make a nice over-the-shoulder grab in the sixth inning, robbing Garrett Jones. Offensively, he has hit safely in each of the nine games.--1B Brandon Belt hasn't played as much as expected. Sunday, he got his first start in a week and scored the Giants' only run after hitting a fifth-inning double. Aubrey Huff, who likes Belt swings left-handed, has played the most at first base. Brett Pill, who bats right-handed, is the third first baseman, and C Buster Posey could get time at first as well.--RHP Santiago Casilla is a likely choice to close for the Giants with RHP Brian Wilson shelved...
