--3B Pablo Sandoval hit his fifth homer, a solo shot in the sixth inning that accounted for the Giants' only run. Sandoval opened the season with a 20-game hit streak, the longest in franchise history to begin a season. Then he went 0-for-4. In both the two games following the oh-fer, Sandoval has homered.--C Buster Posey faced the Marlins for the first time since May 25, when he was knocked over by Scott Cousins and missed the rest of last season with ankle and leg injuries. Cousins is in the minors, but Posey was front and center, catching and hitting cleanup.
