Running social media for a major league team got a little more complicated on Thursday when the official Facebook pages for several teams fell victim to hackers in search of a laugh. The New York Yankees were the target of the most prominent prank with the mischief makers informing the team's 5.9 million Facebook fans that Derek Jeter would be missing the rest of the season due to a sex change operation. Teams quickly erased the messages, which included the Washington Nationals saying they were moving back to Montreal, the Chicago White Sox claiming they were voting for Mitt Romney over superfan President Barack Obama and the San Diego Padres announcing that their handicapped fans were "STRONGLY DISCOURAGED" from attending games at Petco Park.
