The Giants have optioned outfielder Francisco Peguero to Triple-A Fresno and recalled first baseman Brett Pill, who has wielded a hot bat down there. Peguero also hit well in Fresno but was 3-for-16 with spotty defense during his brief stay in San Francisco. Pill, 28, is hitting .341 with a 1.054 OPS for the Grizzlies. [...]
