Giants right-hander Matt Cain was diagnosed with a contusion on the middle of his right forearm after being struck by a line drive hit by Pittsburgh's Gaby Sanchez in Thursday night's fourth inning. Manager Bruce Bochy indicated that Cain's status for his next scheduled start, Tuesday at Colorado, is doubtful.
