Center fielder Angel Pagan, who was scratched from Sunday's workout with back discomfort, resumed participating in drills Monday, while manager Bruce Bochy announced that Marco Scutaro (back) won't play in Wednesday's Cactus League opener against Oakland but added that the second baseman could be fit enough to appear in games by the end of the week.
