When Mike Krukow is down, he's not out.The Giants broadcaster is fighting a musclular-degenerative disease that causes him to fall down, the former pitcher revealed Tuesday.He's got inclusion-body myositis. The condition has no cure, has no "solid theory for what causes it," and causes "progressive weakness" in the hands, feet, and legs, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.Krukow's had the disease for eight years, the newspaper reported, and may eventually be forced to get around in a motorized scooter.He decided to go public this year after a fall on the team bus, and after the once-robust, muscular athlete was seen getting about with a cane.
