SAN FRANCISCO - Long before they became teammates, Ryan Vogelsong was watching Jake Peavy. He recognized that they had a similar repertoire and approach on the mound, and even though Peavy was pitching in the American League, Vogelsong would sit behind a laptop and pull up Peavy's starts to see how he approached certain hitters.
